Hi readers - I just wanted to share just how well, the 'Abridge' interactive ESL learning resources were received by my 'younger' online learners.

A link of recent international learner 'feedback' (2026), shared, that: 

" ------ is now studying at an American school (online). Thanks to your lessons, he is able to understand easily and likes his studies."

In my experience: pre-planned lessons provided a really great level of 'constructivist pedagogy' (a 'step-by-step' process [placing the learner at the 'centre' of the learning space]) an approach that has helped to ensure that learners stay both focused and continue to enjoy connecting to online class.

I began our lessons by making use of the learner's anticipated 'skills level' (already completed within the platform) alongside in-built lessons found within the online teaching platform (as the learner was also able to revisit these lessons, for continued practice between classes). 

I kept classes engaged by creating lessons built on hobbies and interests - as well as: 'key-words', 'definitions' and use in 'context' - we also expanded into 'interesting facts', 'idioms' and 'tenses' in everyday conversations (with in-built 'writing, 'grammar' and 'punctuation') too.

When I discovered the online resources available within 'Abridge' I was able to continue to provide 'engaging' lessons (built on 'speaking' [and extended further through 'key-words', 'definitions' and their use in 'context']) and also share links of successful lesson completion - as well as: providing learners with 'pre-lesson' practise (and e-workbooks) too.

If you'd like to be able to provide new and interesting resources, within your 'Online Classes', then: you might find these 'Interactive' resources (based on CEFR: A1 to C2) really useful - particularly, if you're not ready to write your own 'teaching material'!

The Common European Framework (CEFR): levels are often used to describe a level of attainment, in reference to languages; Teaching; learning and or assessment (i.e. 'English' as a foreign language) - and, can often be referred to (as a guideline) when setting learning goals.

CEFR: guidelines are also recognised across Europe and are often referred to (in other parts of the world) too.
